こんにちは!
Happy Sunday, みんな!How's your weekend? It's the start of another workweek tomorrow, ugh... But it's okay because it's gonna be payday for us, heehee~ Which means, I'm gonna be able to buy stuff for our tiny little kitten MiMi. やった!Anyway, I'll make the most out of this Sunday and try to post whatever I can. And hope that I don't get lazy, heheh~
So here's another circle lens review!
Honestly, I can get pretty biased with brands. When it comes to circle lenses, that would be GEO for me. But local online stores only have very limited on-hand stocks of various kinds of GEO lenses in my eye grade, and I'm not particularly one for waiting via pre-orders (unless I really, really want the item). So I took a different turn this time while browsing JapaneseCandy's catalogue, and decided to go with this pair of Maple Ice Flower in Gray.
Maple Contact Lenses are manufactured by Four Vision, a Korean company based in Daegu. It's not well-known yet compared with GEO, and I don't see a lot of their products locally, but it's registered with ISO and CE certifications so I can trust their products.

I got this pair last December, along with another pair of GEO Princess Mimi Chocolate.
I'm blind as a bat without my eyeglasses or lenses...
Comparison with my natural eye. I've got small irises, and these lenses enlarge them well as you can see. In fact, when I inserted one of the lenses the first time I was like "Holy crap! It's freakin' huge..." and thought about not getting 15mm-diameter lenses for a while hahaa!

I've been using this pair since December, and here are my thoughts (with ♥♥♥♥♥ being the highest)...
Maple Ice Flower Gray
Manufacturer/Origin: Four Vision Korea
Diameter: 15mm
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Water Content: 38%
Color: ♥♥♥♥
The gray part of the lens looks transparent in the container, but still shows quite well on my dark brown eyes. I actually like it, though I think it would be better if the gray is a tad more vivid. If you're looking for subtle gray lenses, you may consider these.
Design: ♥♥♥♥♥
It certainly doesn't look like a flower to me, it's more like a burst of gray with tiny specks of black near the center which helps in blending with my natural eye color. I think it'll look quite different on people with light-colored eyes. I really like the pattern, especially the thick black limbal ring which makes for more dolly-looking eyes.
Enlargement: ♥♥♥♥♥
The comparison photo above speaks for itself, yes? My GEO Princess Mimi lenses are also 15mm but these definitely look larger. The edges don't show even when I open my eyes real wide, heheh~ Eyemake is a must if you don't want weird alien eyes...
Comfort: ♥♥♥♥
I sometimes feel the lenses shifting in my eyes after inserting them, but it disappears after a couple of minutes. Though the lens itself can be a bit flimsy because it's so soft. Good thing is, I don't feel the edges even if they're 15mm, and they're pretty comfortable that I sometimes forget I'm wearing them. I still need to use my contact lens drops once or twice though, mainly because I'm looking at my PC monitor most of the time which makes my eyes prone to drying and stress.
Overall: ♥♥♥♥♥
I love these Maple Ice Flower lenses! Enough for me to use them almost every work day or when I go out. So yes, this pair made it to my favorites list. And would I recommend them? Heck, yeah!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
