The Power of Makeup ~

Rina-chan style! LOL!

So yeah, my "online diary of sorts" turned one year last 26 June. やった! I never imagined I'd be able to keep this blog up even only for that long. I had an old one in Wordpress before but I guess I didn't have anything much to say at the time, so I neglected it. But it's different now. I've changed a lot, experienced a lot, learned a lot... Okay, 'nuff of the drama.

Basically, this is a special post which turns the spotlight on one of my favorite stuff -- makeup and how I use it. Now, One-Winged Angel is NOT a makeup / beauty blog per se, but I can definitely say that since I started discovering and loving more of the stuff as well as reading my favorite blogs, it inspired me to come up with this tiny space in the internet.

Alright, let's cut to the chase! Here's how I use makeup as a tool in making me look better and more put-together. I think. Hahaa!

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

Baviphat Magic Girls BB Cream
Maybelline Angelfit Perfect Concealer in 01 Light Beige
Fanny Serrano Two-Way Cake in Duchess
In2It Eyebrow Powder in Eyebrowns
Avon Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Blackest Black
Maybelline Extreme Stiletto Mascara in Black
Fanny Serrano eyelash curler
Ever Bilena Single Blush-On in Pink Petal
Ever Bilena retractable blush brush
Maybelline Color Bloom Tinted Lip Balm in Peach Blossom

My clean, bare face with no trace of makeup. Ack! Blemishes and dark circles abound. Heck well, I'm insecure like that, hence the small photo. LOL!

With BB cream, concealer, and powder foundation (applied dry). Oh, and I must say lenses are a must for me, as I'm blind as a bat. For this one, I chose the most natural-looking lenses I have.

After tightlining and putting on mascara. And look, eye brows! Heheh...

With a light sweep of blush and a swipe of tinted balm.

できました!
See? Now I looked more... human. LOL!

Just in case you're wondering how I look without lenses AND with my granny glasses. Oh, but I just changed my frames! More on that soon. Old glasses are old...

BTW, the process above is how I do the most basic. It's pretty much my 'no-makeup makeup look'. Ohoho~

But that's not all... I recently experimented on something and again, with the help of makeup (and some other stuff), I find that I can go from this...

...to this!

Hahaa! Again more on that in a future post.

And that's it! I love how makeup helps in improving one's look and in the process, one's self. I'm a firm believer of "look better, feel better, do better"... Agree?

  2. Oh, thank you! This is actually my favorite necklace. =)
I purchased it from one of the booths during Ozine Fest 2011. Unfortunately, I can't remember the store's name...
